Who Is Dixie Lang

Dixie grew up in a caravan on the outskirts of the little village of Dalrymple in Ayrshire, Scotland. She always loved music of all kinds but country music has always held a special place in her heart.

Dixie grew up listening to the greats, Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Hank Williams, Dolly Parton, George Jones, Loretta Lynn and Conway Twitty to name a few.

Dixie started writing poetry from the age of around 5 and this grew into songwriting over the years. She learned to play piano and guitar but it is Dixie's voice that really turns heads.

Dixie moved to the big, bad city of Glasgow and started out playing in the bars but soon went on to play throughout the UK and at various different festivals including world famous Edinburgh Fringe Festival, The Millport Country and Western Festival, Butefest, The West End Festival and Loch Stock.

Dixie went to Nashville and Memphis in 2016 where she played in the round up on Music Row and The World Famous Tootsie's Orchid Lounge.

Upon her return from Nashville, Dixie went on to complete the recording of her debut album, "Apple Tree".

Dixie is already writing her next album and looking forward to getting into the studio to start recording.
