Dixie was extremely privileged to have some of Glasgow's finest musicians play on Apple Tree.
Richard Anderson - Richard played bass, guitar, piano and performed backing vocals on Apple Tree. Not only did he do all of this but he also produced the album alongside Johnny, (see below). Richard is a exceptionally talented multi-instrumentalist and vocalist who has played with many great bands during his career including The Meatmen, The Shiverin' Sheiks and The Strange Blue Dreams.

Garry McFadden - Garry literally put down his parts on Apple tree in around an hour, he's that good. Currently playing with premier Glasgow Bluegrass band The Daddy Naggins, Garry's Banjo skills are something to behold!

Dave Addison - Dave plays regularly alongside Richard and Ross in The Shiverin' Sheiks and The Strange Blue Dreams. Dave played fiddle and mandolin on Apple Tree and performed backing vocals as well. Like Richard, Dave is a multi-instrumentalist who has played not only for the aforementioned bands but also other great bands such as Hidden Masters.

Lloyd Reid - Lloyd performed lead guitar on Apple Tree. He has worked with many great artists. He's supported acts such as The Proclaimers and Sturgill Simpson. and played in bands from Black Arrows and The Meatmen to his latest project with Daniel Meade and The Flying Mules, (see below). Lloyd's playing is simply superlative. He really knows how to make a guitar sing and swing and some of the work he has done on Apple Tree is simply haunting. Beautiful stuff.
Daniel Meade - Daniel played piano on Apple Tree and other than The Killer, Jerry Lee himself, if you're looking for someone to tinkle the ivories then there's simply no-one better than Daniel. A prolific songwriter in his own right, Daniel has worked with Old Crow Medicine Show, The Proclaimers, Sturgill Simpson, Willie Watson, Diana Jones, Pokey Lafarge and recently touring with Ocean Colour Scene. He has released a number of albums, all of which are top notch and is a multi-instrumentalist to boot.
